The Needlepoint Nook of Mystic

The local shop, The Needlepoint Nook of Mystic, located at One Fort Hill Road, Groton, has celebrated over 19 years in business. The Needlepoint Nook of Mystic specializes in hand painted canvases selling generally from $50 to $250. Shop owner, Catherine Hobaica is most proud of her talented customers who have found their needleart passion.

Catherine moved to the Mystic area when her husband retired from active duty military service with the United States Coast Guard. While the area is blessed with many local artisans, Catherine found the area lacking a needlepoint shop. After much thought, she followed her dream and hence the Needlepoint Nook of Mystic was born. As all the canvases are handpainted, Catherine searches out artists from all over the country and as far as New Zealand. The vast number of new creative talents to the ranks of gifted artists is a true testament to the growing interest in the needle arts. Such artists are diverse in style to please the most discriminating needle pointer.
